Ubuntu will removed synaptic on next version that is 11.10. Does users will be confused when they want to install the program?. My answer is not! why? because ubuntu software center more friendly to users, with just two clicks the user already get the application that he wants to install.
Do not worry for new
linux users, because this application is not include by default. If you would like to install it, you can install from ubuntu software center, looking for synaptic clik for install. By terminal you can install this program by type command
apt-get install synaptic
And you will get synaptic
