Ubuntu 11.10 not yet release, but if you would like to try this version of
Ubuntu, you can download beta version. Special for who would like to try update of application in ubuntu 11.10 you can add the repository by type on terminal
sudo gedit /etc/apt/source.list
After that you will see gedit editor and paste url of repository to gedit editor

deb http://id.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric main restricted universe multiverse
deb-src http://id.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric multiverse
That main repository of Ubuntu. After you add that repository please type command in terminal
sudo apt-get update
wait until finish then type again
sudo apt-get upgrade
and then you got new udate software in your desktop/laptop
